Don't forget your gems for June

It's that time of the month again, ladies and gentlemen. It's June 1st, which means the Consortium is offering a round of free gems once again. Just visit Aeris Landing in southern Nagrand and chat with Gezhe to receive your pack of gems. How many you get is dependent on your reputation with the Consortium, but unfortunately, the quality is completely random. If you're having a hard time finding the place, look for the giant diamond mountain Oshu'gun. Aeris Landing is on the road just north of it.Once again my horrible gem luck has gifted me with a bulging sack full of green quality gems, but maybe some of you will have better pickings! Good luck, and may there be no Talasites in your future.

Interesting. I thought the quality had some sort of correlation to your rep, too.
Armed with this knowledge, I shall no longer be crankypants at getting a pile of green gems at Revered.

I completely disagree. There is a higher chance to get a blue gem(s) out of higher reputation bags.

Revered has around a %15 chance for blue gems, while exalted has around a %30 chance.

4 rare gems and 1 green. i'm exalted and that was the best bag ever. 1 nobal topaz, 1 royal night eye, 2 star of elune and 1 flame saphire or what ever that crap green is. :-)

The chance is only higher because you get *more* gems as you get more rep.

I just flew there and talked to the guy but no gems. Do you have to have a minimum rep requirement to get them? Might want to put a disclaimer in there before others waste their time.

You only need friendly to start receiving gems, but you do have to be level 64 or higher.

My two exalted toons each got two blue quality gems and a handful of green quality gems. Haven't brought the honored toons yet. As I recall, it starts at friendly.

That said, getting a load of uncommon gems isn't such a bad thing any more. Thanks to Brilliant Glass, I saw a "stack" of 8 flame spessarite going for 49g on my server the other day (Moonrunner US).
It's a buyer's market, eh?

My friendly toon got shafted with two green-qualities, but my revered toon got happy with a Star of Elune and some green-qualities.
Figure I can grind out those last few points with Consortium to grab the exalted sack for next month.
