Yes i'm more excited for WOTLK than BC, because the latter was just a bunch of failures after all. The horrible raidsituation at release, the welfare pvp epics, almost one fucking year without serious content upgrades(wtf?). And since Season 3 the unbalanced arena. I suppose WOTLK is blizzards last chance to keep the hardcore(read: not the casuals for whom the game really has improved) to play this game. However, if they fail the game is probably doomed without the pro's i forsee the motivation for the casuals to be lost.

Casuals will be fine, by definition they don't care about hardcores, because they are casual about it.

Wow....full of thyself much?
Don't worry about the "casual" crowd, I'm pretty sure they won't notice the "hardcore" crowd's passing. That is, assuming that actually happens.
My prediction is it will very likely just be more business as usual, with better graphics, creative questlines, and more cool people to play the game with if they would just come down off their soapbox and realize they aren't God's gift to videogames.
