My guess is that Malygos is not entirely himself, so to speak. From my understanding, the Blue flight researched and captured some members of the netherwing dragonflight, or convinced them to go to Azeroth with them and meet with Malygos. It is the nether energies and abilities that have rejuvenated him.

Now, seeing as the Netherwing are good guys that come from a bad background, scions of the Black flight altered by the shattering of Draenor, I think there's something else at play here besides Malygos is pissed.
