This looks like Blizzard's response to Warhammer's beloved (by beta testers) Tome of Knowledge. It's a little annoying to see them being so unoriginal...

What did the OP just say? They don't do original, they perfect others originality. And id rather have a perfect game, than a crappy original one.

It's just that the Tome of Knowledge is one of Warhammer's big features and something the beta testers have been raving about. Seeing Blizzard put in some cheap-looking version that probably doesn't even have all the features is pretty lame (e.g., Warhammer's ToK unlocks titles, new quests, has encyclopedia entries on things in the world, etc.).The other famed Warhammer feature has been public quests, so now I can't help wondering if we're going to see "world quests" in WotLK...sigh.

Honestly, I would love to see public quests in WoW, since it looks like a great idea and I don't want to play Warhammer (because it's Windows-only and because I'm not at all interested in PvP).

Public quests are a great idea and one of Warhammer's most beloved PvE features, so I'm guessing Blizzard will surely rip it off at some point (sigh).

Newsflash - there's very little that's original out there, and everything original gets copied anyway and stops being original. Not much new under the sun.....I think this will be cool for the pokemon-type achievement whores out there, especially with it being a new system, so everyone now can play, instead of just the "veterans" - hopefully everyone will get a clean slate. I like badges/accomplishments/achievements/tomes/etc.

"Public quests are a great idea and one of Warhammer's most beloved PvE features, so I'm guessing Blizzard will surely rip it off at some point (sigh)."all MMO's rip off from each other.. hell.. all video games rip off from each other period. for instance. wharhammer online isn't the first game with a system of recording in game achievements that unlock titles/gear/quests. so really warhammer ripped it off from the games that came before them also.
