Breakfast Topic: Are you getting a haircut?
So like I was saying the other day, one of the things I'm looking forward to the most out of WotLK is the character customization options, such as the dance studio and the barber shop. I've already got a few ideas in my head for how I'm going to change my characters.
For my Night Elf druid, I've been tired of his green hair for a while now. It's not bad, and it blends in well with most Druid tier armor, but I feel like I want to stand out, so I'm figuring royal purple, one of my favorite colors, should look awesome. I'm also figuring I'll give him the short beard (he's clean-shaven), and maybe restyle his hair to be the long topknot style, if only because the Samurai look would be pretty sweet. As far as dances, I'll have to see how the system works, like if it lets you pick any dance currently in game or just gives you access to a couple extra dances for each race, but If it's an option, I am totally switching him over to the Tunak Tun dance, if only because I absolutely love that dance.
I'm pretty happy with my other two characters, but I'm sort of thinking that I should have my Dwarf hunter bring her hair down, if only so I can get that awesome twirling braid look whenever use my Hearthstone or cast Eyes of the Beast. If the rumors about tattoos pan out, I'd also love to get her some tribal Wildhammer style tatooing going on. For my Human warlock, I roleplay him as a nobleman, so I'd love to switch his dance to something more elegant than Saturday Night Fever. Maybe that dance that Moroes' party guests do in the Karazhan Ballroom?
I know we don't know a whole lot about exactly how the barber shop and dance studio will work yet, but it's always fun to do a little bit of speculation. How do you plan to change your character's hair and dance moves? If you're thinking of a dance or hairstyle that isn't in game yet, what are you hoping to see?

lol, this was a very entertaining start to my day
for my mains i like the way their hairstyles are (or maybe i'm just used to them), however a lot of my alts i kinda just rushed creating them and then 40 levels later i really can't stand their do's so i will definitely get their hair did.

My first character, an Orc warrior has my ideal look, with the ponytail sticking out. After a while, I realised the warrior wasn't for me and I rerolled a warlock. I wanted some way for them to look different, so they wouldnt look like the same Orc with different armour, so this warlock had the twin ponytail. However, I prefer the single, so when WotLK comes out I'll switch to that.
Or one of the new ones if it looks cool.

My female NE druid went minimal, no tats and white hair. Still dig it at 70.
My female gnome warlock was originally my bank toon, so I went silly with pink pigtails. I still think it's a funny dualism at level 70. Might keep that going. Or red pigtails, since I see a lot of pink now.
But for some unknown reason, I chose a gray ponytail for my human mage. Maybe it looked less wimpy on the character setup page than it does when I look down on him now, or maybe I just wasn't thinking. It took so long to find a not-idiotic male human face that I could have been fully spent by hair time. Scissors please.

I like the mohawk on my troll, but I'm going to be changing the color as soon as I can. I don't know why I went with turquoise (I can't stand turquoise). I'm definitely going for orange.
When WLK comes out, that'll end nearly 4 years of me hating my character's haircolor.

I know what you mean. I rerolled at lvl 25 because I got sick of the giant magenta mess on my mage's head. Swapped it for a big red mohawk. Much cooler.

I'll be changing the colour of my mains hair and probably the style. I never really paid much attention to it when i first made him but its always been something i've wanted to change. Now a days i actually pay a lot more attention to that when making new characters so i doubt i would have to change theirs.

I'll probably play around with the styles and the decide that the hair my characters have already is good enough.

I have never /dance in this game, and I never will.
There's no way anyone likes that draenei dance with the retarded clapping every 5 seconds. Lamest dance in the game, IMHO. I don't believe the writer.

Do you have some sort of dried fruit in place of your sense of humor?
Frank Jun 10th 2008 9:41AM
i LOVE the draenei dance. i love their laugh, in fact, everything about them. the only ones i think are equal in the game are the gnomes. i think the designers had a lot of fun and creativity going on with both of them. everyone else seems pretty similar to me by comparison.

Capoeira dance for Everyone!
Bunkai Jun 10th 2008 12:39PM
w00t!!!!!!!
/agree
G Jun 10th 2008 7:41PM
Yes! If I could teach my stuffy, stiff human to do Capoeira, that would rock.
And that reminds me: I want to hear cheery elevator music while I pick my new hair. "Girl From Ipanema" kind of stuff, low volume in the background. Then as soon as I hit "Select" -- boom, back to the dramatic WoW music.

Any chance Blizz can cut this BS fluff and fox the system so I can fly in Azeroth? I mean FFS people, come on.

I read that and all I hear is "whaa whaa whaa, it's too hard, we don't wanna do it, no matter how many of you want this feature WE DONT WANNA!!!"
Something seriously needs to replace this game or at least give it some competition.
