Around Azeroth: Lordaeronic Flight 815
Just another Tanaris airplane crash, you say? Wrong! Zemmzah of <Kindrêd> on Dunemaul scoped out this wreck, located at the top of a snow-capped mountain, while using Far Sight in the area of Mount Hyjal. I'm not sure whether he was inside the instance or just peeping in on the still-closed zone from outside. Either way, this is a pretty good explanation of why gnomes didn't participate in the Third War. Their biplanes crashed, and they were forced to re-enact an itty-bitty version of the movie "Alive".
Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. And remember, 4 8 15 16 23 42.

The last time my husband donated plasma (ah the bad old days when first married and we needed that $30 to eat) they were playing the movie "Alive" on the TVs. We've never been able to watch the movie again and he gets creeped out thinking about donating plasma again. Donating blood, he's ok with. lol

This is in the closed off Hyjal in Kalimdor. Back in the day, when you could still wall jump into it, a buddy and I explored the area and ran into that plane at the very peak of the mount. That area is huge, and the elevation at the top is impressive compared to any other area in the old world. Archimonde's corpse is pretty cool, along with the epic jump off the top.

This is also in the current version of Hyjal. I scoped it out a month ago on my shaman.
To find it, go to the NE encampment and use Far Sight on the absolute tallest white-capped peak you can find. If you don't see it there, you didn't get the tallest peak. :P
There are 3 or 4 white-capped peaks, iirc, so take a look around and see if you can find it.
I had some fun with a guildie when i did, because he's always making jokes about how the alliance was an oppressive regime that refused to allow the gnomes to participate in Hyjal. So I found him evidence that gnomes were around... they just couldn't manage to master flight well enough to stay in the battle, heh.
