Whoa. Equipping an item cancels spell casting? So no more totem swapping macros? That really hurts...

I loved that exploit! Oh well. At least I can still swap librams on my prot pally durring the GCD of my instant cast spells.

I wouldn't really call it an exploit. It reset the GCD when you swap a totem while casting, which seemed perfectly fair. It really helped with managing the totems that each affected one individual heal. Let's face it, while we'd love to sit and just spam Chain Heal forever, but that isn't always what is needed or best.

"Placing an item in your bank will now cancel any spell cast currently in progress if the spell was cast by that item."
As I read it, you can still use totem swapping macros. I gather it will only cancel the spell if you put place the item in your bank while using it. That's how I read it anyway. =)

It's a hit to evo mage gear swapping macros. Currently: start evocation [channeled spell], swap in int wand & staff while on GCD and before ticks start [mana return from evocation is based on int], cast nuke at end of evo and swap back in the damage gear while on GCD from the nuke. Saves two GCDs while maxing regen.
Still, it's an entirely reasonable change.

This will hurt those of us using things like casterweaponswapper too. No more pulling out the spellsurge enchanted weapon just for the proc :( And yes this does play hell with relic swaps.
