First of all, a huge thank you to Mike Schramm last week for covering my rear with his hunter comic. And it wasn't so much "kindly accepted" as it was "oh thank goodness, I'm saved" for the record, Mike. Thank you Turpster, also!
Now, back to business (or tomfoolery, I haven't decided which it actually is yet). This week brings us a comic that actually took place in the Barrens. Crossroads to be specific. So once again for those of you whocomplained commented that the comics should take place in the barrens, your wish has been granted.

Credit for this comic actually gets split two ways. One part going to Dubothe (again) for coming up with the witty response to the lad, and part to the nuisance himself. The problem is, I don't recall the name of the panhandler responsible for spamming the Crossroads with his incessant requests for gold.
Since I couldn't remember who they were, I took artistic liberties and made him a Forsaken, though I'm fairly sure he was a Tauren. Sadly, after the comment made by Dubothe that you'll see in the comic, the poor chap was hounded by taunts of /moo from almost everyone who heard it, and had to logout to escape the herd. Although being spammed by over 20 people simultaneously /moo'ing at someone was so worth it.

I want to like them, really I do. I kinda dig the art style, but the humor is lacking. This week's joke is literally kindergarten-level.

Unless gold beggar is suddenly a race all its own, there is no racism to be seen here.
But, be you a gold beggar I have somehow offended by my portrayal of your race, then pardon my racism towards you and your own, good sir. Otherwise, I believe you are intending to call me out on race-related jokes as there are no comments towards superiority, discrimination, etc. except in the direction of gold beggars at crossroads.

Madam, allow me to clarify:

I did not mean to imply that you are offending anyone ("racial" may have been a better choice of words), merely that the "Tauren's are always moooooing, amirite? LOL!" joke is, as mentioned, old and tired.
Also, I'm not sure you understand completely what "witty" means (hint: it means funny).

Ah, but I see you have left out the second half of that description for your own good: "[...] usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others." As usually means more often then not, my point stands.
Witty has two meanings, good sir. The second of which is clever. Unless you'd like to continue to modify dictionary meanings towards your own ideas, then by all means!

Your comment is riddled with non sequiturs, but I'm thinking if you took some of that unrefined, harsh sarcasm and injected it into your comic, you may achieve better results.

I like the art style a lot! But the story/plot/joke is really lacking. I think that's why a lot of artists pair up with writers.

BS. This is where we are supposed to comment on the article, or in this case, the comic. If we don't find the comic funny at all, we should say so. The fact that someone actually said this in-game doesn't automatically make it funny or good material for a comic strip. Life may not be Penny Arcade, but PA at least makes me laugh.
Some readers may have found this comic hilarious, and I guess that's their taste. Personally, I expect a bit more than just a WoW-flavored version of a joke told at nap-time. Judging from many of these comments, I am not alone. A lot of the comics seem to have that "you had to be there" quality to them -- which you even conceded in your first article -- and lose something in the translation. The comic with the pet eating the kids mouse was great, actually. Good premise, delivery, and storytelling.
There: criticism without blowing sunshine up your butt. Damn, this got long. What am I the Simon F'ing Cowell of online comics? GAH!
