I've found the default layout of Pitbull to be more than adequate. All you really have to do is place the frames, and you're good to go. Then, once you have the basic layout of where the frames should be, it's really not that hard to figure out how to customize them. There's even a handy little "Open DogTag Help" button at the bottom of every configuration screen that accepts DogTag tags. From there you can look up any/all tags in the DogTag library simply by browsing, or by typing part of the tag name. I've heard lots of people say Pitbull is too complex, but really, my argument has remained "It's only as complex as you want it to be." If you're smart enough to install an addon, you're smart enough to figure out Pitbull. Just spend a few minutes (maybe half an hour tops) poking around the options and you'll be able to do just about anything you want to. Also, the forums at wowace.com are a great resource for figuring out Pitbull and DogTag specific things. The community is helpful and active.
