Midsummer Fire Festival level guide

- Torch Tossing and Torch Catching have no minimum level requirement. Because you complete these quests in the safety of a capital city, any level is appropriate.
- Honoring the flames has no minimum level requirement. Unless you are 50+, however, the recommended level is the same as the level of the area you can comfortably hunt in.
- Desecrating flames also has no minimum level requirement, but considering it flags you for PvP even on a PvE server, do so at your own risk if you are low level.
- Incense for the Festival Scorchlings also has no minimum level and any level is recommended.
- Unusual Activitiy requires level 16, but I wouldn't recommend lower than 20 given that you have to fight level 20 and 21 cultists and the area is rotten with level 20 Naga.
- A Thief's Reward or stealing the flames in the other faction's capital cities required a minimum level of 50, but if the flame is at all defended, it's best to be level 70.
- Lord Ahune requires a minimum level of 65. Slave Pens is where he resides,
so any level above the minimum that you feel comfortable in that instance is recommended.Edited to add: Upon further review, the recommended level to complete this quest is 70 and it is easier if the 70s in your group are well-geared.

i wouldn't recommend being under 70 for Ahune, since if the fight is not over at the end of the second frozen core then it's most likely gonna be a wipe, and doing it that fast is even challenging for a 70 group with no raid gear...

slave pens is 62 is it not?

Yes, but the event is higher level. SM is level 29, but the Headless-Horseman was 65+.
I've had a hell of a time finding a group on my 67 rogue for it, though. I'm hoping my TK/SSC geared buddies will help me out. :P

It may be, but bear in mind SM Graveyard is 20-something. But I wouldn't recommend a group of level 30s take on the Headless Horseman during that event.

PS, I swear that comment above mine wasn't there when I hit post. Odd.

Yeah, I didn't think my comment posted, either. Then when I came back it was there. Weird.

FYI, did the "Unusual Activity" quest on my 65 Rogue, but could not get the Ahune follow-up quest because I was "too low".

i am level 61, and could not complete this quest either, for the same reason. i completed the crab-disguise part, and then next part (talking to an earthen ring representative, i think?) told me i was too low. :(

The torch tossing and catching are daily quests, too. A great way to get some easy experience on alts. I get about one-sixth of a level per day on pre-60 toons and it takes about 3 minutes to complete.

I did the intro quest and the two daily quests on my bank alt and dinged lvl 2, I'm sure by the end of the festival I can probably get her to level 10 just with the dailies lol.

I agree on the Ahune comments - you want 70s with at least some epics or you won't be able to kill him fast enough. He's significantly harder than the Horseman. I happen to have had two 70s at about the same point in gearing for each event - reasonably new, but with an entry level epic or three. The Horseman was easily puggable - Ahune is not.

No one under lvl 70 should attempt Lord Ahune unless they're party is completely uber epiced. Otherwise they are no help to the party and a wasted spot. Only 70's should try him, its really bad advice to say otherwise.
