It's Monday morning and new hints of cold have appeared around Blizzard's official web sites. If you visit the Blizzard corporate site, or the front page of the community sites, you got a crystallized image of ... something. It's pretty hard to tell what you're looking at, except that it's icy and maybe cavernous.
While this is pretty obviously a teaser graphic of some kind, there is no text or other graphics detailing what Blizzard's hinting at. It's a safe bet that the graphic is related to Wrath of the Lich King. Some speculation posits that we might be about to see the actual release date. Of course, it could be related to Ahune and the Midsummer festivities -- but I don't think so. I also don't think this is a mistake that's going to be reverted -- since it's on the corporate site and the official sites, it seems purposeful. We'll let you know more as it happens.

By the timing, I'm guessing it's a promo tied in to WotLK. Some of their contests ended last weekend. The prizes of these contests included - wait for it - WotLK beta access.

Blizzard baught the domain of www.diablo3.com a little while ago from a fan site.
Until this picture was posted last night, diablo3.com linked directly to diablofans.com
Now, it's nothing.

Now what WOULD be really amusing and highly devious was if the game was all but finished and we've been getting fed "leaks" all along.
It's about as likely as me nailing Mother Teresa (I thought long and hard and went for maximum bad taste, sorry and yes I know she's "passed on") but the shockwaves it would cause would be talked about for years.

The 232309 clue is very good.
Also, if you look at the source for the page, there is an 'icefield' in the code, which refers to the pic and the link it has. 'Field is a common type of thing in a User Interface, and Ice would seem to point to Wrath.
Also, since this only appears on the WoW and Blizzard pages, it would also seem to point to Wrath, as if SC2, Diablo 3, or even related to something else, it would seem like it would also be used for the Starcraft2 page.

The image has changed. The new one is titled "ice2.jpg" and has a large bright crack in the middle.

Check back on the main site again, something tis breaking through the ice.
For me, it looks like what you'd see if you were looking up during the cinematic in WW3: FT with the glacier over the throne cracking and breaking up.

OK, what if, just what if.... The supposed "Alpha" is in fact a closed Beta and Blizzard were just throwing us for a loop and WOLK will be released "earlier" than intended? Kinda makes sense having the new lvl 30 mounts in an upcoming patch, S4 and all the other stuff :D

There is now a large hole in the ice with what appears to be snow in it. I could just be crazy but two of the snowflakes in the center look remarkably like a set of eyes looking out.
