WoW Insider at Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational this weekend
Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational in Paris, France June 28 & 29 has a lot of things. It has machinima contests, dance competitions, live raids, playable Wrath demos, live concerts and a new 3v3 Arena tournament with a Frostmourne replica as the grand prize. And it also has WoW Insider.
We will have people on the floor of the invitational to bring you word on the big announcements, dev panels and crazy costume contests the moment they happen. Keep an eye on our site this weekend for latest news on World of Warcraft. Until it kicks off, check out our gallery below from last year's Blizzcon.

they cant afford to send people to paris. notice they said "we will have people" not "dan, mike and liz"
if they were going there, they would have been touting it for the last 3 weeks.

We are sending three people from WoW Insider to Paris: Senior Editor Elizabeth Harper, Ready Check raid columnist (and former WoW Insider Editor) Jennie Lees and Mark "Turpster" Turpin who will be doing video for us.

Actually, I thought Turpster was gonna be there. He said something about it a month or so ago on the WoW Insider Show. Has that changed?

Dii.net is reporting:
With this week's speculation over the Blizzard teasers, more and more reports in the media, and numerous tips coming direct us at IncGamers from reliable inside industry sources in the past 24 hours, we now have confirmation from inside sources to say that Diablo 3 WILL be announced on Saturday at WWI Paris 2008.
With that in mind, we would like to invite Diabloii.net readers to submit their questions for us to ask Blizzard.
This is extremely exciting for all of us here at Diabloii.net. For the past 10 years we have been supporting the Diablo community and to have something completely new to sink our teeth into is fantastic. We will be at the show on Saturday for the announcement and also the press conference which is directly after, so expect reports from the show floor live, interviews and much more.

Anyone else find it extremily ironic that a Frostmourne replica is being given as a prize for an arena tournament?
I mean, yeah they will surely appreciate it for the work, lore and value....amazing.DIAF blizz,DIAF.

Sorry to hijack the post, but I have a quick question for the lucky ones going to the WWI: I have not yet received the confirmation email/barcode that Blizzard mentioned when ordering a ticket - and my credit card was correctly charged. I emailed Bliz about it, but no word yet. Anyone in the same situation ?
Mark Turpin Jun 25th 2008 6:58PM
Nope, I got two ticket emails about this, one with the barcode in, and then one more recently reminding me to print it off, if you have real troubles on the day I am sure that if you bring your card statement and enough ID then they will part with your ticket for you.
Best of luck and can't wait to see you all there!
