Nihilum live at WWI
If the Arena can be a spectator sport, raiding can too. Nihilum, a guild that simply needs no introduction, has broadcast a live feed of their elite Sunwell Plateau raiding skills will also be appearing at WWI this weekend. An update on the convention's page notes that you will be able to meet and watch some of the guild's superstars:
- Kungen (Thomas Bengtsson), guild leader of Nihilum, playing his Tauren Warrior
- Hath (Luke Brown), playing his Undead Mage
- Sniffy (Bryndis Sturludottir), playing her Blood Elf Paladin
These members will be joined by Gustav Käll, aka Marilyn, who will be giving commentary of the raid. The WoW Europ page promises that viewers will be able to see Nihilum in action live on both days of the World Wide Invitational. Participants will also see the guild's top-notch arena team, consisting of Beasteh, Cherez and Hydra.
It looks like the entertainment at the event will be spectacular. In addition to Nihilum's appearance attendess will also be treated to live concerts by Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain and Video Games live.

Stand by for thousands of "Who cares about content I can't be arsed to do!" flames.
Germ Jun 26th 2008 9:20AM
Will you settle for a "who cares"! I mean who honestly cares to watch some people playing a game? I rarely comment on "news" like this, I mean c'mon wowinsider gimme real news not this shit.
zappo Jun 26th 2008 10:31AM
@Germ
There are some games that are pretty cool even to watch. Look up Tetris The grandmaster2 Death mode - where you can see the guy's hands move. Other things like watching someone solve a rubix cube in under a minute are just really interesting to watch. So yeah games can be good from a spectator perspective as well.
I will however admit that watching WoW of all games I think would be rather dull. I say that having to fully admit to watching videos of Happyminti where I learned a few tricks for my rogue...

@Germ
Why comment if you don't care? I mean really.
It's like me commenting on a football site "who cares to watch the world cup"?
Germ Jun 26th 2008 3:56PM
@Zappo fair enough man, I should worded my comment a little better and said WoW or any other MMO. =)
@EdgEy, first off I come to this site to view the latest news or rumors or articles such as "Know your lore" and I did say; I rarely comment on something like this which I don't consider news. Now you said if I didn't care I shouldn't make a comment, well I'm within my rights to comment if I so wish to so I did this time. You then made a snide comment about not posting on football sites, well if you're not into sports then I wouldn't understand why you would go to a sports site.
Anyway my point was, wowinsider is posting this like if Nihilum was [insert your favorite artist/band here] when they're not, these guys are people that play the same game as all of us and if they want to announce to the world on their site that they will attend blizzcon or whatever, why post it as news here? Is this really newsworthy? It's not like people are going to run up to them and ask for their autograph or have girls throwing their panties at them. Meh whatever sorry if I offended you.
Smurk Jun 26th 2008 8:58AM
Wasn't there some stink awhile back about this guild's 'no girls' policy? I guess that's changed.
Badger Jun 26th 2008 9:16AM
' Nihilum, a guild that simply needs no introduction ...'
Even though you talk about them EVERY OTHER DAY ...
Sakerin Jun 26th 2008 9:39AM
Yes ... that's why they need no introduction.
Badger Jun 26th 2008 9:45AM
Valid point. I apologize for my poor word choice.
My point: I find the extent to which certain 'Insider' writers worship the ground upon which Nihilum's membership walks to be vastly amusing and a trifle annoying. They're a regular PR machine because they're vastly over-endorsed by corporate interests.
Note that I'm not calling their members 'bad people' or anything quite so petty. I've never met any of them, so I'm certainly not qualified to judge their characters (either in game *or* in person). Hell, I'd like to buy them a drink sometime, personally - but they'd have to get away from the feeling of a 'walking commercial' first.
kr3wman Jun 26th 2008 1:50PM
Some of the bloggers here, when I searched for arcticle on world firsts, were actually tired of talking about Nihilum.
Shiju Jun 26th 2008 11:04AM
Are you kidding me?? Yes and here it is..... Who cares!
Lab Monkey Jun 26th 2008 11:42AM
"...some of the guild's superstars"
Too far, just...too far. Props to them for being good at what they set out to do, but c'mon, "superstars"?
Chuck Jun 26th 2008 3:38PM
Personally, i'm excited to watch them, seeing as my guild is almost ready to start Sunwell progression.
I really can't wait, as a tank, to see how all the trash pulls go, what kind of CC will be used, and just how fast and efficient trash pulls can be. I'm watching to learn, but it's fun for me anyways.

I still like to read about this, and if you don't then move on.
Do you also write letters to TV stations about having too many episodes of particular popular shows, or do you just change the channel?
