Rumor: Death Knights coming early
Though this is the merest shred of a rumor, it's a nice enough idea that I think it's worth a post anyway. DeathKnight.info is passing on the speculation that maybe, just maybe, this weekend's announcement (or one of them) is going to be that the Death Knight class will be playable before Wrath of the Lich King's release, to those who pre-order Wrath. It sounds a bit silly, given that the Death Knight is one of the banner features of Wrath, but there are a few points riding in its favor:- You only need a level 55 to create a DK.
- It would assuage concerns of everybody and their dog rolling a DK on the day of the Wrath release, since if the class was released (say) next month, or even in a few months, many of us would have time to get a DK to 70 before Wrath's release, to see whether we liked the class and so forth.
- It would give those of us who have exhausted the current content something to do for the next few months.
- The eyes revealed in today's teaser image could easily be sinister Death Knight eyes.

that rumor makes perfect sense since diablo 3 is gonna be blizz'S next mmorpg and tehy are still recruiting people for it and the Deaknight class is already completed the talent tree and all as u cna see on wotlkwiki.com

Could anyone tell me, if I just have a character in level 55, would I be able to create a Death Knight on whatever realm I wanted to?
Eliah Hecht Jun 27th 2008 8:33AM
Killah: yes. One 55+ on any realm lets you make a DK on any realm(s) you want.
Greg Jun 26th 2008 11:11PM
Nope, not happening.
dkira Jun 27th 2008 1:54PM
maybe u never know but new diablo allmost 100% sure thye are even hiring for it
"Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of Diablo and Diablo II, is looking for a lead 3D environment artist skilled at creating models and texture maps for both architectural and natural environments. The ideal candidate has experience modeling and texturing assets for a diverse visual range of environments.
Take a look at the job posting"
PimpyMicPimp Jun 27th 2008 8:21PM
Greg is correct.
Blizzard doesn't give people ingame advantages for paying money (thank god). The TCG loot cards are all fluff; acess to the new class early is not.
Again, not happening.

Alright, maybe this will ease my fear of overplayed death knights the class appeals to me greatly but i am insane and overplayed classes (top played) bothers me. So i dunno if i will be playing death knight or not. So hopefully this comes true.
Heilig Jun 27th 2008 1:11AM
I hope it happens too. But not because I want to play one. I'm looking forward to the giant piles of corpses created when 10000 lvl 55's spawn in the exact same place in a contested area.

I'm pretty sure they'd already stated its an announcement about a new game, not specifically diablo yet but definitely a new game. I also really doubt this would be a good idea
Roger Jun 26th 2008 11:26PM
OMG DIABLO 3 FOR SURE
Complete proof

Warcraft 4 Ghost? It shows up as Warcraft 5 and 6 Ghost, too... Maybe they're turning the remnants of Starcraft Ghost into a new Warcraft shooter?
Badger Jun 26th 2008 11:56PM
Daaaaaamn.
Somebody just got shown up.
Demosthenes Jun 26th 2008 11:26PM
You sir, just got my hopes up.
Roger Jun 26th 2008 11:28PM
Aw i feel bad now, sorry
saw the link in WWI forrum and freaked
well heres hoping its d3 anyway
thephear Jun 26th 2008 11:32PM
Yeah, I don't see this happening. All a person has to do is pre-order the game, put the initial deposit, then cancel the pre-order, get the deposit back, and boom, free Death Knight and no expansion.
Aichon Jun 26th 2008 11:39PM
Aside from what thephear said, there's also the fact that you would need to distribute activation codes of some sort to all of those people. They'd have to do that via retail or online, but since most people are probably going to pre-order via a retail shop, I don't see how they could coordinate all of the retail shops to give out the activation codes very easily.
