WotLK bestiary presents Flesh Giants

Next up on the list seems to be the Darkfallen, so maybe we'll learn just what they are fairly soon. Of course, it is Blizzard's website and they don't need to reveal those next if they don't want to, but it's next on the list so I'll continue assuming it's coming like a good boy. From the name alone, my first thought is the Darkfallen will be ghosts or spectres of some sort, but we already have those. Maybe some sort of Priest or Acolyte of the Shadow? Perhaps the vampires we've been hearing rumors about?

I don't know what else to say other than "very, very cool". I thought the whole "OMG UNDEAD" theme would run dry, but these guys look pretty awesome.

Nice model, and the description at the bestiary looks like it was taken from the back cover of a B movie. Which is great, of course. :-)

That looks great.
You know...using these new creatures beside creatures that have been unchanged since the game was first released is going to be a major eye-opener. They've redone the nerubians/crypt fiends and ghouls, but look at the Abomination.
The abomination has always been one of the worst-looking in the game (I'm not talking about the gross factor either). They've always seemed really blocky, and texturally rather ugly and low-res. I sure hope they update them.

Is it just me, or if you squint your eyes, he kinda looks like Thaddius from the abomination wing in Naxx. Or maybe I'm just crazy, but either way i like it.

I LOVE the new detail Blizzard is putting into their textures. Incredible.
I kind of hope they go back and repaint some of the older zones and models, but that would take a lot of work, and i can understand if it never happens.
