Russian WoW in Alpha testing

Dedicated forums are slated to be released next week for Russian WoW. Many questions remain unanswered. Hopefully in the coming weeks more information will be released. Currently a number of realms exist on EU servers that are inhabited by Russian-speaking players. Will there be free migrations for players on existing "Russian realms?"
Visit the Russian WoW teaser page for more information. (I think) Also keep an eye out for more news on Latin American WoW, which is currently under development.

Finbaly those retards will have there own servers to speak there own language next the danes plz. If u think calling them retards is harsh, well how hard is it to exactly understand that the official language of the server is english and one is supposed to speak it

Personally, I think there are too many monolinguals on our international servers.

I dont think its a crime to not know english to play World of Warcraft

Hey, we get to play with the Russians.
That gets me thinking, is the "conflict" between the Horde and the Alliance a type of Cold War? No true open warfare, but a bunch of smaller conflicts fought by "separate" parties (example: Warsong Outriders vs Silverwing Sentinels, not exactly Horde vs. Alliance)

I can't tell if your being sarcastic.... ahhhhhhhh.
Damn lack of emotion on the internet
Taytayflan Jun 28th 2008 5:15PM
No, I'm not being sarcastic, I've actually been wondering if you could describe the political situation as a cold war. Both sides are exerting influence over areas without actually getting true armies to kill each other.

The main site for Russian localisation is http://wow-europe.com/en/welcome-ru.htm, not this forum thread.
Please mention it.

In America, Paladin tanks mobs. In Soviet Russia, mobs tank you!

I was choosing a server a few weeks ago, and stumbled on Warsong EU. When looking for a new server, I generally head to a major city to check out AH prices, to see what trade chat is like, etc...
As soon as I hit Silvermoon, it started - non stop Russian....I could hardly even get anyone to answer me when I asked if there was a lot of Russians on the server, or if it was a quiet time and a small group of Russians were talking casually to each other. Until somebody whispered me and told me in very bad English "don't come here, Russian realm".
It kind of shocked me that first time players to WoW could end up levelling on a server, only to realize later they cant understand anything most people are saying, groups will be hard to find, guilds even harder.

In Soviet Warcraft, candle take you!

My realm is full of Russian/Danish speakers, and some of them are very inconsiderate when grouping. We also have alot of Dutch players, but they don't mind speaking English...
