Realms are up

Good news, everyone! Several realms are up and running, with more coming online shortly I'm sure. This means you can get your World of Warcraft fix for the week starting now. And lets be honest, for any serious WoW player the week starts on Tuesday afternoon when the servers go up, and lasts until Tuesday morning when they go down.There is no patch 2.4.3 on the live servers yet - expect that in the next couple of weeks. Additionally, if there are any server stability issues to report on throughout the day you'll see a couple posts go up here.

And for the record, I've been wanting to use Buddy Christ in a post for a while, but haven't been able to find an excuse yet. Him seeming all happy for something (like the realms being up) felt like a good enough reason for me.

aww, my shaman is 42 and still has no mount. don't want to spend the extra g!

Right in the same boat with you. I have a 39 shaman and will not get a mount until the patch whenever that is. Until then thank goodness for ghostwolf!

I'm a Paladin who is about to hit 40, so I'll gain nothing from this patch in regards to mounts. Well, I suppose maybe they'll lower the price from 85 silver?
But my roommates are still in their mid 30's and have to pay for the mount. It's a shame this patch isn't coming a little quicker for them.

I'm pretty sure that the cost for a starter mount, whether it be level 30 or 40, isn't changing.

Actually it's changing a lot, from the patch notes:
"Mounts at 30?! Yes, it's true: Apprentice Riding and mounts are now available at level 30. Training costs 35 gold"
