How on Earth would mages become redundant compared to shammies with this one little change? Last I checked they were one of the premier damage dealing classes which won't be affected at all by this change. It just means that being able to CC will be less of a reason to bring an underperforming mage to an instance.

Now all we need to do is give paladins a short duration CC similar to Cyclone and we're set (they can take our bubble for it if they really want).
