Shock and awe in the Arena

The four Elemental Shamans, Aelli, Aellei, Aellii, and Aellie, are joined in Team Bubbanaught by Resto Shaman Bubbajingles, controlled by another player. The Shamans are flying high on their freshly-acquired Nether Drakes. The original poster has less than humbly declared that he plans on an even better showing in season four.
Along with many words of congratulations, this thread has its fair share of negativity toward multiboxing. Multiboxers in PvP are often a source of contention. Now, I know that not everyone loves this style of play. But you've got to give credit where credit is due, and this is pretty cool. Congrats Aelli, and good luck!

The arena is very much about cooridination and communication. Thats why I consider this cheating.

I seriously dont want to take the merits of this guy, its cool to be in the top and it definitely it must have taken lots of efforts setting up those macros and etc... I do multibox a bit myself.
But i do not see much of a glory factor in this post towards this guy. For me, the arena top players in reality are those that pull off wining from the oposite team with different people and different personalities.. different perspectives and etc..
For me, after these happenings, probably Blizzard will start to see some problems with multi-boxing as far as i am concerned. Since it is a bit unfair, for the opposite team, who really worked really hard to get together and maybe the all 5 of them lost the 1% enough for the end of season title for this one guy that is controlling 4 other characters with macros and such.
I really hope i am not the only one that see the problem here.
But gz to the multi-boxer anyway.

Multiboxing isn't the problem, 4 separate players who were in the same room would do a better job than a single player multiboxing.
Root the leader then run behind them, since the leader cant move the multiboxer would have to keyboard turn to be able to hit you with more than one character.
Death knights would make short work of such a comp, all they need is to use Death Grip on the leader, pulling the leader 30 yards away from the rest, any stun/root/fear after that would make all 4 of them flounder without being able to effectively fight back.
Area effect fearing works too, if you can get all the tremor totems out before you do it. Using slowing effects on the "followers" would make them peel off if you can get the multiboxer to follow you away from the totems.
The problem is that people don't use the vulnerabilities of multiboxing against the multiboxer, they get too freaked when 4 (or 5) instant chain lightning hit them to realize that the multiboxer has much less control than a normal player.

Pretty amazing, but without being a douche bag, Reckoning US is one of the Weaker US battlegroups. I would really love to see if he could do this on a BG like Bloodlust/Vengeance... etc.

Ellay did transfer... yes, four characters which means $100 in transfer fees... to BG9 and made a video of him gettin to 2k+.
Smolderthorn is his home server though, so it made sense to go back. If you've ever seen the older videos (3-boxing mages) -- "Can you see what I see" -- you'll notice that was also from Smolderthorn.

I'm a native to Smolderthorn where I play a mage. I have two things to chime in here.
1) 1 or 2 of the top arena invitational teams, "Ohnoes" and "Zecks" and whatever their current team name is now are from Smolderthorn. There are a lot of native Smolderthorn people doing serious PvP nowadays.
2) I personally don't buy into the BG9 hype, and I don't think anyone can ever prove that one battleground bracket is harder than another. Even if it is harder, the question becomes "How much and in what ways" It could be harder at 1700, but equivalent at 2100.
3) I remember doing battlegrounds at 60 with his mages, who were Alliance.

Well, I haven't been very impressed by Reckoning, especially when I found out one of their 2500 teams consisted of a t6 hemo spamming rogue that was clicking on skills. The shaman wasn't great either, clicking on heals and never faked healed and his opponents weren't all that great either.

Whats fair about getting hit by four toons in perfect synchronization? Game is over after the 2nd hit because 2 of your team are lying face down. Ive had the unfortunate experience of being 1shot killed by Zin and his "box" (Azin, Xzin....). Boxing, IMHO, would seem to violate rule c4 of the Rules of Conduct... "Using or exploiting errors in design, features which have not been documented, and/or "program bugs" to gain access that is otherwise not available, or to obtain a competitive advantage over other players".

What undocumented feature or bug is he exploiting, exactly? he has 5 computers. He rapidly switches between 5 wireless keyboards. He uses in-game macros.

It is an exploit, because four regular players can't achieve the synchronization that multiboxing achieves via a third-party program sending its input to other accounts.

You can do it with 4 players. Use in-game voice chat, and have somebody yell an enemy's name, then say "Go!" On go, everybody casts a chain lightning on that enemy. Bam, people will think you're multiboxing.

You have no friggin idea what you are talking about, have you? You can connect one keyboard and one mouse to several computers at the same time. He presses 'space' on the keyboard, all five characters jump. He presses his main attack keybind, the main character starts casting Chain Lightning, the other three element shammies activate the macro to assist him and cast CL as well, while the resto casts a chain heal.
Easy as pie,. The hard part about multi-boxing is having the dough for it, and the devotion to do it,
As for being an exploit - You guys are just envious that you can't do what he can do. Get your heads outta yer asses and wake up. This is NOT an exploit, that is Blizzard's OFFICIAL stand in the matter.

he is NOT switching between 5 keyboards!!!!! all four toons cast at the exact same time time. i would say he has one keyboard and mouse tied to 4 boxes. which is why they are all the same class.
id be impressed if they were all different classes or even 2. imho this guy is just another loser who figured out how to use his money to gain an advantage.
