The rumor mill has been flying lately that on July 3rd we'll see the first invites go out for the closed beta. Well, it's 12:01 a.m. on July 3rd now, and that means Beta Watch 2008 can begin.All of this beta rumor stems around a German Assistant Community Manager by the name of Gnorog telling the German gaming site Allvatar that the closed beta was going to be starting on July 3rd. It was "fueled" a little bit more in that Bornakk did not come out and deny the July 3rd date, something that they have regularly done before.
Another small indication that something is changing is that the Wrath of the Lich King forums have seen several sticky post removed. They normally do this only when new information is about to come out to replace said sticky posts.
It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. And if you do happen to get into the beta, feel free to drop us a tip. Happy waiting!

I could be remembering wrong but wasn't the NDA lifted on the BC alpha before the beta phase started? Pretty sure that's how it went down before so I wouldn't worry too much about beta till that happens.
Tried looking through World of Raids but their archive doesn't go back quite that far.

It was even said in your last post on this that the July 3rd part was a mistake and Allvatar contacted the CM to check on the date and was told it was a error. The CM accidently said July 3rd due to the hard time at the WWI and meant to say anytime this month.

I got mine!!! It's kind of weird that they're running the beta with a .br domain name (isn't that Brazil????) but I was able to log in just fine. I filled out the form with all my information and now I'm anxiously awaiting the download link they're going to send to me!!!1 I CANT WAIT!

I haven't read the three pages of comments, but I'm guessing beta keys have been sent out. The 'Breaking news' section on my client no longer says "Sorry, we're not giving them out yet."
