Poll: How much would you pay for an Amani War Bear?

We've covered the topic of an insane amount of money being paid for an Amani War Bear before, namely about 20,000g. Gold is much easier to come by now-a-days, and most people are finding it easier to amass a small fortune. This number of 20,000g for a bear mount isn't seeming all that far off.My guild is running two bear groups through Zul'Aman a few times a week, and many of us have our bear mounts now. Those that don't are going to get it quite soon. When this is done we have some different options. We can either run some of our alts and what not through and have a character in greens-galore with a bear mount, or we can sell one of the spots on our run.
This selling thing has got me thinking. While our guild doesn't need any more money for repairs and such (we have plenty in the coffers), we can definitely all go to have a few thousand more gold individually. If we ran one person through on a run for 20,000g we'd each make 2,000g for doing 45 minutes of farm content. That's not too bad.

But is 20,000g really the best amount to charge? I'm not too sure. I think a more reasonable number would be around 10,000g. This is twice the cost of a epic flying mount and would take a few months to farm outright via a few dailies every day (or about a month if you go nuts on the AH).
Weigh in on our poll today and let all of us know what you think would be an appropriate amount to charge for a bear mount. And free is not an option.

I'd have to agree. I'm perfectly happy with my regular mount.
That and I have a hard enough time saving for my epic...than trying to pay tooth and nail for an ugly looking bear.

Agreed. They're a neat mount, but no way I'm paying more for one than I would for any other epic mount.

Thankfully there are others who think the same! IMO the bear mounts are the worst looking mount in the game, and I wouldn't even take one for free. It would just sit gathering dust in my bank, and I'd end up destroying it to make room for more Adamantite or something. I know some people like them, and that's up to you... But I can't see anything good about those mounts, and find it amusing when people actually pay for them.
They go for 9k-10k on my realm, but are on back-order for ~2 months.
As said in the original article, it only takes 45 minutes, and you're paying each person 1000g+... Seems a little excessive. Wouldn't 100g-500g per person be fair, although 900-5000g bear mounts would have everyone in a frenzy to get one, since gold -is- so easy to get these days.

Better yet:
Don't waste money to buy one, go out and do the run yourself. Three chests are easy, and with some more coordination (and perhaps some time spent gearing up with drops and badges) you'll have a bear mount without paying up the ass for it.

This will have skewed results since there is no "I would never spend any money on it" option the people who think that are just going to choose the first one.

The current going price on Mug'thol, at least Horde side, is 6k gold. They sell regularly.
Check around on your realm forum, maybe even go to other realms in your battlegroup, and see how much people are offering for one or how much people are selling runs for. Don't put out such a high price that people will ridicule your guild about it.
As far as it being a waste, I don't know. Some people like to pimp out alts or maybe want one for their main and are not in a guild that does bear runs. It is a vanity item and I am ok with people buying something like that. Its not like its arena titles/points.

Actually, I don't. But it took me less than 10 secs to find pictures of one on Google. And it takes me even less time to claim that I do have one.
