Around Azeroth: Little people, big bang
At any sort of public event that includes fireworks, there's going to be a couple of people who suddenly stop in the middle of the street and stare upward, slack-jawed, at the pretty explosions. Zewee and Stabbage of <Battlestar> on Thunderhorn-EU filled that role during the Midsummer Festival fireworks, watching the display from Stormwind's main access road. Eventually they were run over by an elephant. (Not really. My kingdom for collision detection!)
Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no sunsets, and remember not to blow up your face with leftover fireworks!

RE: collision detection. Unless you mean preventing big elephants from parking on the mailbox or NPCs, YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR FREAKING GOURD!!!!! PC-PC collision detection would instantly bring send same-faction griefing through the roof. The possibilites are endless.
*shudder*
