Do you need to prepare to switch mains?

I am still unsure if I will switch mains. While I like my warlock main, I have more fun tanking. But tanking is more of a sosial game, and with more time spent at work nowadays, I think a solo character might give more bang for my buck.

All in all, I don't know what I'm going to do. But I'm not much into "prepping" for Northrend. My lock is T6-geared, and my tank is T5 pluss a lot of the top-end badge stuff, so they are both good to go.
