Do you need to prepare to switch mains?

I don't know. I feel attached to my main but mostly because i just enjoy playing it the most (paladin) but i'll most likely switch mains to my Shaman that i've got in reserve. That or do the popular thing and make a Deathknight.

I have 3 lvl 70s, paladin, shaman and priest with a bunch of classes i'm trying to hit 70 with before expansion (another pally, druid and i might lvl my 60 warrior but i find him boring.). I could switch to any of them as my mains but i don't know how i'll feel until the release of Wotlk.
