Wowhead releases Wrath talent calculators
For some of you, it may strike you as a little early to be thinking about your level 80 talent builds - especially given that Wrath is still in alpha and everything we think we know about it may change - but I say, it's never too early to theorycraft. That is why I'm pleased to report that Wowhead, having gotten a chance to play some Wrath at WWI, made talent calculators for the Wrath alpha talents, including Death Knights. Now we can play with our shiny new builds to our hearts' content. Paladins and Hunters have not had their talents implemented in the beta yet, so you won't find them there, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
Inveterate priest fan that I am, the first thing I did when I got my hands on this was make a build for my holy priest, and this is what I came up with: 14/57/0. Yes, I'm finally excited enough about Holy to spec away from Improved Divine Spirit; Guardian Spirit just looks too good to pass up, at least in its current form. As far as my Rogue goes, it depends on how Murder Spree ends up working, but I'm thinking either 21/50/0 (Cold Blood combat, yay!) or 20/51/0. Death Knights I still can't quite get my head around, but it sure is fun to play with their talents.

Awesome. Place your bets on how long it will be before Blizzard bans the entire Wowhead staff from the game for "leaking Alpha data."

Apparently, as MMO-Champion reports, Blizzard has explicitly allowed fansites (those in the Fansite Program) to report on information seen on WWI. This includes talent trees as they were seen on that event (so any potential later builds on Alpha would strictly speaking be prohibited).

Oh! Well, that's good. I really like Wowhead; I wouldn't want their admins and mods to get in any trouble.

Am I the only one to think of the talent "Wrongfully accused" in the subtlety tree as Cheat Death V2.0?

when i read that talent, i shed a little tear...
it sounds, to me, like yet another way for rogues to become unkillable. yay. that's just what we needed.

Tbh, cold blood with a combat tree doesn't really give much use, seeing as combat tree focuses heavily on consistent dps rather than burst. Seeing as you chose a raid spec you will be running a snd/rup rotation, cold blood isn't that useful. But you do make an interesting point about Murder Spree, I wonder if it will be viable to use it without hurting your dps, to really make use of it you need to switch to a slow off hand, which means a gcd then a swap back after woods which is another gcd.

That is uber-cool. I love playing with the calc and just imagining Titan's Grip. I need to go level my 2H weapon skills so I'm not behind the curve on release day.

I'm going to try 33/0/38 for my rogue, it doesn't seem that great (no sinister calling :/ )but at least I'll have some fun in pvp till something better comes along.

Still nothing for paladins. Sigh.....

I know seriously, there better be something really good in store or it looks like I'll be switching mains.

Per the blue post a few days ago, the Paladin talents/tree will be one of the last to go public since they are supposedly doing a re-evaluation of the class.

Is it a mistake that sweeping strikes and death wish are in the opposite trees? And did I sleep when they said defiance was gona be trainable or did they take it away altogether. As awsome as Titans grip and heroic leap will be, Defiance is a cornerstone low level tanking IMO of course. Fury should be fun but now. And IF you balance it JUST right you can get 5/5 two hand spec, plus 5/5 off hand and 5/5 titan :D
dan Jul 9th 2008 5:38PM
Defiance is gone but the +15 threat is being rolled into def stance as a default.
DW and SS have swapped again mainly because of all the qqing I imagine.
Early theorycrafting suggests 5/5 TG is a waste. That you only really need the 1/5.
