The same can be said about warriors, as they are also hybrids. "You can't expect to dominate the PvP universe with MS, top the damage charts as Fury ánd be the best boss tank".

I for example play a paladin. I didn't start it because I wanted to tank, but I do expect that if I spec protection I will be just as good a tank as a warrior or druid.

druid is a HYBRID tank.

Almost every class is a hybrid. But not one single one of them can do both abilities WELL without respec'ing. (and I didn't say "top the chart")

I would be ALL for druid tanking having better abilities if they took all of your dps away from you and made you worthless at damage. Good god at the QQ's you would see then. Try going and doing daily's with a prot pally and warrior.

Druid tanks can. No one can argue that. That's where the hybrid comes into play as a tank/dps, not a hybrid in general.

We might as go ahead and remove resto shaman resto druid and holy paladin from the game by your logic because that is the same as saying "IF YOU WANTED TO HEAL YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ROLLED A SHAMAN, OR A DRUID, OR A PALADIN YOU SHOULD HAVE ROLLED A PRIEST" (o yeah just so all characters are one dimensional(which you prot warriors love right? just ignore the fact that the majority of 2v2s include an MS warrior) we would have to go ahead and remove shadow priest from viable specs so that every character is completely limited in their abilities to perform only one function.)

Druid is a hybrid class. Because it has a spec that allows it to tank, when it specs that way it should be able to tank. Otherwise there is no point in the spec.
