One of the things that I'm not seeing many people mention (although granted, my eyes started glazing over and I only skimmed the later comments) is time. Not the "I'd rather have some money now than a bit more later" concept that people were talking about, but putting stuff on the AH takes time if you look at things such as how much similar items that are already on the AH compare or evaluating something's level or its "of the Bandit" vs. "of the Soldier" stats. If you look at the time spent on the AH as a sort of mat or reagent for the item you want to sell, then you want to sell it without taking too long.Sure, I could just vendor it, but it only takes slightly longer to toss it up on the AH and then undercut the other items on there. I'm almost certain it sells, and then I can collect the money at the mailbox instead of picking the item back up and starting the process all over, again.People say that this is "dumb" because I'm not making as much money as I could be, but the money... it's not real. It's IMAGINARY money. The only value it has is the value I give it. And in every case, my time has more value than WoW money.I'm not really sure why I need to be concerned with spending more time on the AH so that other people can make more money.
