The two important bits are this from the post:

"... if you're having trouble with 1,550 Arena rating -- I hate to say it, but you're probably not going to get the rating requirements for current-season Shoulders/Weapons any time soon."

and Tychon's comments above paint a grim picture.


The sad fact of the matter is unless you already have the rating, chances are you won't get it. Due the ease and prevalence of arena point farming you're nearly guaranteed to have S3/S4 teams in the 1500 'starter' bracket every week. If you aren't S3/S3 yourself, you can't win against that... so really save yourself the trouble and just farm points for the items you can buy without rating requirements, because unless you are already competitive in the 1500+ rating area, it is extremely unlikely that you will ever be able to get there.

I'll be in there dying 10 times a week for my welfare epic clownsuit. The pieces are useful for PvE for my some of my characters, even with some of the item budget wasted on resilience.

How did WoW get here? It used to be so much more... fun.
