This is a very interesting and, I would guess, very normal situation. It is something like driving down the highway, normally posted at 55 mph, and seeing a new sign that says “85 mph.” If you decide to drive at 85, would it be reasonable for the police to give you a ticket… No! (note: law says that you may drive up to the ‘posted’ limit given good road conditions). Now, put that same “85 mph” sign in a school zone (in the rain)… there is no way someone should be driving that fast around a school… and everyone with a license knows that!Unfortunately, this situation appears more like the first scenario. While I believe that the member likely knew he was getting over on the guild… if the rules are that items on that tab are free to all… then they are free to all.The guild leadership set the rules, controls the inventory, and manages it all… they should ‘follow the law’ and accept the responsibility for this issue. If the person is not right for the guild another situation will come around and they could be booted then.
