This "kind of" happened to me a while back. I was asked by guildie for some Large Prismatic Shards for a healing enchant on his gloves. He has run many instances as healer in our guild so, as a guild leader, I gave them to him. The next day I get on I am getting some passive-aggresive stuff from some other guild leaders and the GM psst's me asking why I took mats out of the guild leader tab. He said that people we pissed about me taking them and some were talking about kicking me. I told him the situation and even offered to put the mats back in out of my own stores. He was cool, I was cool.
The moral of the story is: GM ASKED me what was going on. I was able to tell him how it went down and what happened. I also offered to replace (even if it wasn't my fault) the mats if he didn't like my story.
It is a game that should be enjoyable. If the guild you are running with is more interested in who was in the wrong, boot them before they can boot you.
