mistakes like this happen all the time, if you want to avoid it, lock your guild bank down. If you have active officers it's not too much of a hassle to have them take things out for people.
We recently cleared out our first tab and left it for general deposits, since as much as we try to keep the guild bank organized people who do deposit things often don't look for the right spot and just drop it in the first empty slot they see.
I also strongly believe having your guild bank locked down (like only officers can withdrawn) will help you if you are a victim of a guild bank robbery. First of all it shouldn't happen at all, but we recently had someone impersonate a another officer, claiming to have made a new alt, and duped an officer into guilding them and promoting them.. well, suffice to say, they ninjaed the bank and ran off.. well after having a ticket open for a week, we got ALL the items back and someone's account got suspended.. way to go theif.. lol.
