Soon to be 2.4.3
As you've likely already heard, patch 2.4.3 will finally be going live today, and we have the full set of notes. While the realms aren't up yet, the new patch excitement and QQs are already building. How is this patch going to affect you? Do you have an army of level 30 alts lined up and waiting to purchase their phat new rides?
Personally, I'll be heading out to pick up the new tailoring patterns in Tanaris and purchasing the non-combat pet from the Sha'tari Skyguard.
Then, I might level my own handful of alts. While I meant to push them all to 30 before the patch landed, I got sidetracked. What will you be doing?

ummm... realms have been up for a while... even mine (feathermoon) which is usually one of the last ones to come back up...
Tumnus Jul 15th 2008 1:16PM
I'm definitely going out for those patterns. Then I'm going to go beat up a man in Old Hillsbrad. :')

I have two alts, one being a 21 rogue and another a 22 Huntard. Think I'll be bringing both of them up in the next week or two and enjoying being mounted through desolace. Then I'll go buy my Pallys S4 gloves, and then laugh at Rogues qq'ing over the CD nerf.

I would like a refund for all the Green Quality gems I didn't mine since the "UNDOCUMENTED" fix in 2.4...
..and seeing as they have just reversed that 'fix', I guess it wasn't all that important in the first place.
Blizzard, please do your testing on the PTR. You just cost me 3 months of pebbles for no good reason =/
PeeWee Jul 15th 2008 1:32PM
"Blizzard, please do your testing on the PTR..."
You don't have any clue what's going on on the PTR's, do you? Blizzard aint doing the testing. In fact, no testing at all is taking place. The PTR's are all filled with kids who have no clue, and all they do is play around.

To be fair, that kind of bug is inherently inconspicuous. Most people going to the PTR aren't going to be mining unless there's a reason in the patch notes to do so. Without such a reason, people are more likely to concentrate their efforts on things related to listed changes.
Even if you had people mining, it's a very easy bug to overlook. People are used to being unlucky in this game, and a lack of green gem drops can easily be written off as a bad streak.
It doesn't surprise me when a tricky bug like this slips through the cracks. Something like Orc shoulders, on the other hand, is far more perplexing.

what undocumented change??
Jere Jul 15th 2008 1:49PM
and due to the patch, curse went down and is now under maitenance :D
Adorable1 Jul 15th 2008 1:50PM
Nope. Not enough there. I'll still be playing my Xbox.

I will buy my racial mount. As a level 30 paladin when I first read about the patch, I decided buy the class mount and wait to buy a cheaper racial one.

My only notice so far is you can no longer link quests in guild and party chat

Also apparently switching items in combat resets any active spellcast. So see you later relic swapping. And here I was carrying all these librams.
Crypt King Jul 15th 2008 3:42PM
Yeah I'll be buying 22 slot bags to dump my librams back in that used to give me benefit but are now just wastes of bag space due to f'ing arena and the gdamn spell haste weapons they put in. Heaven Forbid they just not put them in and not f the rest of us.
Badge mana book is now useless and I can't count the number of times that's bailed me out on Brutallus. Oh look, it's my KARA book, yeah welcome back so I can use you on half the raid.
What a joke.
Alex Jul 15th 2008 2:39PM
I will be QQing about how none of my Totem switching macros for my healing spells will work anymore since switching them interrupts your current cast.
ninjasuperspy Jul 15th 2008 3:19PM
Don't forget, swapping weapons to "maximize" the benefits of Spellsurge & another Enchant is also a thing of the past. I guess this is to cut down on the number of weapons/librams that are in my Casey Jones-esque golf bag. I sort of liked the image of my Paladin imitating Hard Boiled while using and swapping equipment though, so Sad Panda.

My hunter will be playing with more aggro now I guess. I hope to level my Shammy the 6 levels to get her mount in the coming weeks
MechChef Jul 15th 2008 3:52PM
Will also buy the new non-combat pet. And if I can get motivated, I'll make a point to head over to Kibbler and do the quest for the smolderweb carrier. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12529

I want to know what the construction in SW is going to do. Apparently they are building a harbor for WotLK?
Braundo Jul 15th 2008 4:06PM
I would be more excited (as I would have been if this went live last week), but my alt is now level 39.5 so the mount change hardly affects me at all. She is, however, a jewelcrafter, so the mining bug fix will be nice.
