Titan Panel's perpetual GM ticket
Brad Justice (let me say that again, Brad Justice!) sent us a valuable tip about Titan Panel, and it's easily confirmed by a casual look over at the official forums. Let me explain. No, there is too much -- let me sum up.If you use Titan Panel, you may see an unexplainable GM ticket open in the upper right corner of your screen. You may open that empty ticket, and then Abandon it. Your attempt will fail. But don't worry -- it's not your fault. It's Titan Panel. That ticket will linger there like some kind of horrific nightmare. But there's hope.
You can either simply disable the AddOn until they get the problem sorted out or attempt a "full UI reset." (A full UI reset is the process by which you basically delete the WTF folder, Cache, and Interface folders and more or less start all over again.) I personally went for the slightly less-intense "disable" option.
Anyway, good luck fixing it -- we just wanted to let you know this is what's up, since Titan Panel's pretty popular.
Edit: With a ninja-like quickness, Titan Panel has released an update which should help clear this up.

I found an easier way. Open up the ticket and edit it, type in some gibberish, and hit accept. Ticket disappears.

While that method does work, it will also submit a real ticket, which will annoy the GM's, so please don't do that.
Titan Panel was just updated to fix this problem (version 3.2.5.20400). Update and the problem will go away.

Updating the mod works too

FuBar.
Much lighter, much quicker, much better.
jbodar Jul 15th 2008 10:12PM
Hells yeah.

Thirded. ^^

I did not know anyone still used Titan Panel. /Shrug. I was a big fan of it, they stopped updating it so I switched to Fubar.
Which, honestly, I think Fubar is a far superior mod....
Liitz Jul 15th 2008 9:45PM
happens with Fubar too
Guinnyn Jul 15th 2008 10:06PM
Yeah, it's happening to FuBar too. Hope there is a quickfix to that too... :P
jbodar Jul 17th 2008 3:45PM
No issues with Fubar for me. Maybe its a particular "Fu" module?

nother method to fixing the bug is to edit one of the lua files. titanmovable.lua in the titan addon folder. Line 265 (yes, literally count down 265 lines) change the "~" to a "=" and you're golden.

Or, um, use a text editor that shows line numbers?
Just a thought.

Updated titan after the patch, problem solved.
Stig Jul 15th 2008 10:22PM
Or you could switch to fubar. Does everything titan does but its Ace2, which just wins ;)

I run FuBar and have had no problems with it.
I did have the GM ticket issue though with Mobile Frames, which I just disabled for now.

Mobile Frames has been updated to fix the bug.

Im getting sick and tired of losing my GPS for my questhelper whenever a new patch comes out. Has anyone had better luck with this i.e. a mod that works from patch to patch.
niko Jul 16th 2008 1:05AM
questhelper has also been updated... fixes the borked nature of the addon since the patch.
Please understand addons are not always going to be immune to downtimes when Blizzard decides to patch the game. Even the best of addons have their share of fixes during patch seasons.

Thanks for the help
Im not the most the most computer savey person and I have never updated a mod before. Do you have to delete the old one out of addons file and download the updated one or is their a way you can add the update to the existing files in the addon file.
Thanks again in advance to my probably easy problem.
