- You'll be able to change:
- Hair Style
- Hair Color
- Facial Hair (and presumably the attributes in that slot for other races/genders, like jewelry)
- It looks to be pretty cheap - the example price here is a mere 2 silver. This is surprising to me because I was pretty sure it was going to be a big gold sink.
- The barber shop looks pretty cool; apparently, this one is run by goblins, although the engineering on the chairs looks more Gnomish to me.
Alright, there's not a lot there, and as the beta has not even begun yet any of this may well change (especially the price), but it's something. By the way, does anyone have a clue as to what the icon on the top-right of the minimap is? That's where the sun/moon icon usually goes. David hazarded a guess that it's a picture of a window, indicating that you're inside; my only theory is that it's the icon for the Achievements interface, though it's oddly big and in a strange place.

too bad they won't let you change your toon's face model. i made the mistake of giving my woman troll priest the "pretty" face 2 years ago and now would fork out big g to give the ole gal a more serious expression :(

Ah! The thing in the corner of the Minimap is a picture of a roof. He's indoors. How can he see the moon/sun?
It is my guess that blizz won't be removing the moon/sun but instead replace the moon/sun when your indoors with, ta-da, a roof.

I could see a calendar, but I think that this is a more reasonable explanation. Also, I'd expect it to be something more "checklist" looking for it to be the Achievements interface button. Anyway, they have already said that the Acheivements interface is accessed via a button on the action bar.
"Upon starting your journey in Wrath of the Lich King, you’ll see a new button on your main action bar. Click that button to bring up the achievements window."

I can see it being a few gold at 70 or 80 but if it was a major gold sink they'd shoot themselves in the foot (feet?). The introduction of this and new dances brought a big cheer at Blizzcon - it's an obviously popular thing and it's fun. Making it 1000g or something would just piss people off... and I'm guessing that's not a major goal of WotLK.

I say the biggest news is that the picture is in Stormwind. The Trade District, near the Canals. With a bit of glancing in-game, I could give exact coordinates. The picture confirms that the Barbershops won't be confined to just Dalaran or Northrend. Presumably there will be at least one more, in Orgrimmar(or Undercity). Maybe one for each capital. But either way, barbershops in Azeroth. Our bank alts or low-level characters won't have to go all the way to Northrend to get a new hairdo. Just head over to your local big capital.

The mini map makes me think this is in SW, but where in SW would that be?

Look right above the minimap. It says Trade District, so I'd guess that's where in SW it is. :P

Heh, I have virtually no interest in this stuff, well, maybe an alt or two will get a tweak, but I am not going to go nuts with it. Meh. I even hate RL 'grooming'.

I don't mean showering, stuff like that, I mean fancy hair cuts etc..
I only wear ear rings, other jewelry to special occasions. I am not a twenty something in my parents basement, I am a 50 something who is not looking for a mate. Thus, I don't bother getting all tarted up.

I pray every night that the barbershop interface will be exactly like the barbershop interface in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, including a goblin telling you, "Sit right down, young buck" and the pink mohawks. Also, outfit changes in major cities should be like GTA:SA, as well, including posing in front of a mirror and the "Damn, I'm pimpin'!" gestures when you put on your epics. IMHO.
P.S. I hope the shaves and haircuts stay cheap. After all, if this were in any way "realistic," who would pay the same price for a haircut/shave that they would pay for a weapon?!

It looks like an indoor icon to me. If you look closely, the icon looks like the checkered floor in the picture.
