UDE Tabards delayed until August

If you remember way back to the end of June, we told you about the new tabards available for purchase using your UDE points from the WoW Trading Card Game. At the time, Upper Deck said the new tabards would be included with patch 2.4.3. Well, 2.4.3 is here, but the tabards are sadly not.
According to UDE_Patrick, the plan for releasing the tabards is now a little different. The first tabard will be available on August 1st, and each additional tabard will be added one at a time over "several months." He doesn't really specify why this change has been made, or even which tabard will be first.
Some of us will obviously be disapponted (like tipster Donna, who already has ample points to pick up one for her, and one for her boyfriend). Some of us will have a little more time to pick up more points in before the release, and maybe score some of the cool loot cards from the new set.

Nothing like an in-game badge that says "Look at me! I spent a crapload of money in real-life on a trading card game!"
The loot from the loot cards is pretty cool. I wouldn't mind having some of it... These tabards are pretty "meh" though. No matter what they look like, they give off that stink of the rich kid flashing his wad of $20s.

I, personally, had plans on buying tabards for myself and roommates, whom all bought ample amount of cards back during the HoA series. I continued to collect some cards, here and there, the art work is nice and I've always been big into TCGs.
I'm saddened to hear this news, releasing one every so often doesn't sound very promising, and in time I'll forget that the tabards will even be available.

Magic the gathering was the last big card game i played and it was too doggone expensive if you ask me. That's why I started playing wow (besides being a computer game person as well). Wow is cheap. (comparatively). I don't think I'll ever go back to spending tons of money on little pieces of paper/cardboard with tiny pictures on them. Just my two cents. now tear me apart!

woot, being a shaman in T6 ive been seeking a nice Blue tabard to match it.. i went to Buy the Frost wolf one... 60 marks??? wtf did i get exalted for then? anyway shold have bought it prebc, regardless ill be buying The UDE blue tabard... which is allready available! :) sucks about the rest

My wife will be disappointed. She really wanted that Orange one and knowing my luck that will be the absolutely last one they release (next year).
