The Paladin changes don't look bad so far -- except Salvation is entirely removed in its current form and Divine Strength is being moved to Protection. Either this means that Prot Paladin itemization is changing to emphasize strength for threat more (doubtful), or it'll just be a crap talent for tanking that no prot paladins will take.

If you look on mmo-champion, there is a tanking ring with strength named "Tanking Ring" so I would say it is now a valued stat for all tanks. Since they wanted tanks to be able to solo easier.Ret Buffs via a CC, 2% increased damage to entire raid, and others will be nice.

I'm hoping (as a protection warrior ;) ) that they do change the paladin tanking, from what I've seen of it in WotLK it doesn't look good. The problem I see is that it goes from struggling to tank anything to lol sessions that trivialise the content completely with dps classes (experienced it from the dps view too) that can just mindlessly fire away without any skill at all. With the new use of strength I'm hoping here that Blizzard are giving Paladin tanks a good old dilemma, either you go for maximum single target threat with strength, or maximum aoe threat with spell damage, ideally done well so that the solution to the dilemma is a paladin customised by the player to do the roles how they see rather then 10 more slots taken up in a bag.The alternative I see to having dilemma's like this presented to us is the dreaded cookie cutter spec where we end up with thousands of identical characters running around. This might work for top end raiding guilds as their idea of a working game but its dull as hell with me (I'm the sort of person who loves to find out that the healer is spec'd part discipline in an instance and starts pulling out different spells and abilities to beat an encounter, variety is the spice of life!).Got to say I'm excited here by what I see with these talents, I'm seeing a lot more that has to be cast when its needed rather then 20 minutes ago, could Blizzard be added more skill back into Warcraft? I'm hoping here that they do since casual friendly or not the original release was a heck of a success.
