We're not bloody casters! We use a ranged weapon with ammo/arrows - so imo and about 90% of the other Hunters out there - this is a fundamental class flaw Blizz fails to acknowledge or find a solution for. Did you see Legolas chugging mana pots in Rings? Yeah, didn't think so. I dare Blizz to make a WoW movie and have the Hunter chug pots before firing off a gun or bow. It ain't EVER gonna happen. So why persist with it? It's fail. Ice Trap is another fail. We should have a netherweave net or something cool like that. There's plenty of better solutions out there. At the moment Blizz refuses to even look. Another fail.

Newtz....Hunters on occasion *are* casters:Healing Pets, Casting Hunters Mark, Assuming Aspects, Conjuring Traps out of thin air (to name a few). There are plenty of things hunters do other than shoot. There have been plenty of discussions on using a different mechanic for how Hunters operate, and some interesting suggestions. I doubt it will ever change.Oh, and please don't compare WoW classes to LoTR movie characters.... it's just silly.
