A well geared rogue with the proper raid buffs is surpassed by none, NONE on single target DPS. However, the problem has always been that most boss enounters require melle to be mobile, so we can't alwyas go "all out" because we spend half of our time avoiding fire/getting rooted/being incapacitated, which puts a severe damper on DPS. Look at Supremus, one of the phases in that encounter we get to run around and do nothing. When contitions are ideal, however, the amount of DPG a rogue can pump out is quite admirable, and that should be what a rogue brings to a raid - DPS you can rely on for the entire encounter. Most of the new Rogue toys in WotLk seem to be geared for the PvP rogue, but Im glad they are moving toward making Mutilate viable again in raids (51/20/0 looks yummy). I dont want to be a "bufing class", but I woldnt mind seeing some sort of stackable debuffing skill that bosses arent immune to, something that gives the raid a considerable advantage and thus a good reason to take more than 2 rogues on a 25-man, maybe improve expose armor, plz? Like a lot? :pRegardless I still love the Rogue class, I just hope that like the neglected Arcane mages, something nicer for us PvE rogues is in line later on in the beta.
