Wrath of the Lich King maps
Wrath of the Lich King information is really flooding in. For the latest bit, let's take a look at some of the new maps in the game. These were obtained through a variety of sources and are 100% real, all right from the beta. Click through our gallery to see them all – including nice high res versions. You'll notice three maps missing - The Storm Peaks, Icecrown Glacier, and Dalaran. Those maps are not done yet. There are some composites that other sites have put together via the mini-map from the data files, but they're neither finished nor "normal" maps.
I like the Stormwind Harbor one the best, if only because the Stormwind map hasn't changed in all these years and it's odd to suddenly see it different. The one I enjoy the least is the Borean Tundra, the color scheme doesn't sit well with me. It looks like...well...I'll let you all draw your own conclusions.
Enjoy the maps! And stay tuned to WoW Insider all weekend, we've got some great content lined up for you.

No they didn't. One can assume Blizzard is gonna put yet another fake steeple up so it looks like we can see the Stormwind Cathedral from the docks.

Where does the Horde set out to Northrend? Got a map of that?
Funny how everyone is nitpicking about small details when this is all beta and will probably be worked on before release. Also even the current maps have been changed over time and still contain some minor "mistakes", but then they all have the "hand-drawn" touch, so that is to be expected ...

If you read the Beta Patch Notes, you'd see Horde go to Northrend from Durotar and Tirisfal. They added new zeppelin towers in both zones. The new Tirisfal one is just west of the existing one, and the Durotar one is just across the road from the closest graveyard to Orgrimmar.

Anyone else notice SW harbor has Four piers? *crosses fingers* I hope this means we'll be able to take boats directly between SW and auberdine, etc.

Just before the Alpha NDA lifted, I saw a post on Wotlkwiki's Stormwind Harbor page that said one of the boats connects Stormwind and Auberdine. The MenethilAuberdine boat now goes to Northrend instead. As the post said, "Low-level night elves rejoice!".

And to remark on my own, the Stormwind Harbor doesn't fit the map. It's too brightly colored, looks just pasted onto the existing map. Just look at how bright the green grass is in the Harbor compared to The Park. They either need to tone down the Harbor section, or brighten up the rest. I recommend they redo the entire Stormwind map, since its colors are looking very drab.
And I am a little surprised that Northrend looks so damn squat. The pre-WotLK maps had it very thin and long, now it just looks short and fat. It lost the grace it was supposed to have as Azeroth's North Pole.

So there gonna make all the death knights go through the 60 elites in tyr's hand eh?
maybe they'll just make em non-elite. Heh
Hmm, what about FPs for lvl 55s? Are they going to go run around and get all the ones you should have gotten by then? or no?

Maybe I just missed, but where is dalaran in all of this?

Have a look at the map screen in WoW that shows Azeroth and Outlands. On the Azeroth circle, there's now a view of Northrend appearing, with both starting zones east and west, where there wasn't even a continent before.
