On second thought, who uses ground mounts nowadays? Apart from the short trips from portal to auction house where they are not usable I always use my flying mount. So unless they are 500% speed or shoot lasers I don't see why I would build/use these.

For those questioning the functionality of ground mounts...Blizzard has said they regret how fast we can go already. So don't expect any major speed boosts. The utility here is that this mount holds a passenger. Also? Probably usable in Old World and Battlegrounds. So you get extra style points in WSG or AV.And you can do run-throughs for lowbies a bit easier by tossing them into your sidecar and ferrying them at epic speeds. This is also just the beginning. This mount holds ONE extra passenger. There are mounts we've seen that look like they could carry 4-8, maybe even 10, passengers. (And I think this DOES have quest/raid functionality since there are going to be raids that require flying mounts, etc. So perhaps you NEED one person to focus on driving while the rest of the raid handles bombing, etc.)I'm kinda expecting a 4 seater convertible for engineers too.Meanwhile, non-engineers will get large mounts with two saddles... and later large passenger mounts, like mammoths with seating for 4+.
