I consider these glyphs something like mini-talents... that you have to pay for. ToT As much as like to get excited by this, my feeling are the same with gems.
Now you need to 1) Get gear 2) Enchant said gear 3) If it has slots, get gems for it (BC). And now you need to "enchant" your spells too (WOTLK). Just more crap to grind to stay competitive. :( All I want to do is PvP some and get some fancy new pants every once in awhile!
I don't know about any of you, but unless I planned on keeping a piece of gear for a long time I wouldn't gem with any of the rare quality gems. Not to mention how they lock everyone out of epic gems who doesn't do BT. Super lame! Now I can look forward to raiders having epic glyphs that will further own my face. Thanks Blizzard.

I don't know about any other class, but for my Resto shaman, the difference between epic and blue gems would come out to 2 healing per slot and no change in mp5... if other itemization is similar, you're not missing much.
