I see what you're trying to mean, but if you're only starting to do Karazhan, how long will it be until you down Curator? How many weeks will it take for the right token to drop for you? And when it finally does, how sure are you to get it?

In about 4 weeks, you'll get the best gloves a casual player can get. When I wrote the guide, this was the best and most accessible item available. So it's OP for Karazhan, but that's fine. When you play a Retadin you simply MUST have the best gear to perform well. Taking these gloves to Karazhan will help you not embarrass yourself.

Because even though you could get the bare minimum and go into Kara and get an upgrade, why would you do that when you could get the downright best pair of gloves that most retadins will ever see in the game? (at least till Wrath)

4 weeks of pvp is a miniscule investment compared to what you get in those gloves. Because, even though they're "pvp" gear, they're better than just about anything that Blizzard thought to give us for pve.
