I've been pugging on my server (Moonrunner US) a few times now with my Shadow Priest, who is Kara-geared and heavily raid-specced. I occasionally sit in the LFG channel and respond to "LF DPS" requests, and generally get accepted.
On the whole I find my pugged raids to be professional, relaxed and well-run affairs, though of course we do occasionally suffer from a lack of healers/tanks, and so there's a lot of waiting around sometimes. I think there's a core group of players on my server who do this kind of thing a lot, and I've often been invited back (though I think that's more to do with Vampiric Embrace than my l33t skillz).
I hope to do much more raid pugging - and get my (more casual) guildies involved too. It's a great way to meet people.
