WoW Moviewatch: Another WotLK video
Weighing in at a whopping 383mb and 1680x1050 resolution, this video focuses on the Death Knight's introduction questline. It deals with lore involving Arthas, the Fordring and Mograine families, as well as a new alliance. For more WotLK beta gameplay videos, check out Daniel Whitcomb's in-depth look at the quest. Note: As you might expect from that description, this video may involve spoilers about Death Knight lore and the starting area.

Vlad,
When I see you commenting about me in other posts, I get sad. When are we gonna go out? You know you love me. It's okay to admit it!
Your little pookie,

I do not want to see material like this, no matter how well done.
The fun part of a new expansion is seeing what's new. I have no intention of looking at the cut scenes, intro, quest lines, etc. until I am ready to run them. Otherwise there is little point in buying the expansion. It's not 'new' content if I've studied it in detail for months before it comes out.
I also don't want to play in the beta, for the exact same reasons. When I go through content I want it to be new to me and to count.
To each their own. If others want to go over everything in minutia before the expansion goes live, more power to them. These will also be the same people clamoring for more 'new' content two weeks after Wrath goes live.

What you should be saying (rather than being salty) is, "thank you beta testers, you help make the game more enjoyable by making sure the game is as close to complete and bug-free as it can get before it gets into my hands."
Jeez.

Months as in the expansion is coming out in two months.
I have inside sources.

Then don't watch it, nobody is making you. People like me, who don't want to play a death knight (and would never see this battle in game) do want to see things like this, so don't ruin it for all of us.
Hadurrrrr.

I've done lots of beta testing in my time (I test software for a living). In the end, although it is a positive and necessary activity, it is one I don't feel inclined to participate in anymore. For myself, it limits my long term enjoyment of the game. If you have to be one of those first people to see things, knock yourself out.
I was merely commenting on my own preferences.
Others can (and will) do as they desire. In my own (admittedly anecdotal) experience, those people who just have to be in the beta and are constantly pushing to be the first to experience something in game play are also those that burn out of the game soon after release (they've usually already played most of it) or are clamoring for new content.

In stark contrast to the above commenters, where can I get a transcript of all the quest and spoken text?
jackal912 Jul 22nd 2008 4:30PM
The only transcript I know of involves just a pile of screenshots (On the www.deathknight.info forums), but if you cant' see the text, go to the actual vimeo website (click on the Vimeo on the video) then press the 'full screen' button - vimeo does something sneaky in that all the videos are High Definition when you watch them on teh vimeo website, but when they're linked somewhere else the 'high definition' button is locked on OFF

Holy crap. That was rather awesome.

I didn't watch much (as I didn't want to spoil ALL of it), but I have one question - what exactly is going on? Is this a raid type event? A huge group quest? I see that it says it's around the DK intro, but I'm curious as to what exactly it's all about.
Oh, and those were pretty much rhetorical questions as the majority of us will find out eventually. But, if you know the answers, feel free to share...
