Around Azeroth: Heavy metal drummer
I must confess that due to my habit of playing WoW with the sound turned off, I've never actually heard the music of Level 10 60 70 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain. In case you didn't know, L70ETC is a group of Blizzard employees who recorded some Blizzard-property-related songs and are now represented in-game as a Horde hair metal band. Lead singer Samuro is actually art director Sam Didier; bassist Mai'Kyl is Blizzard president Mike Morhaime; and so on and so forth. Vindonnus of Stormreaver took this particular pic of Chief Thunder-Skins (aka longtime Blizzardite Alan Dabiri) as the band played their hourly show at the World's End Tavern in Shattrath City.
Please note that the Blizz employees are not actually playing the characters and cannot hear complaints and suggestions /yelled at their in-game avatars. And sorry, egg-throwers and forum trolls -- Kalgan, Tigole and Metzen aren't in the band. Save your all-caps complaints for General Discussion.
Do you have any unusual World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see it on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. We prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more sunsets -- but we would love some beta screenshots here.

If you want to hear it you can find some of their stuff on the official WoW site in the videos section. You can also still play the song from their in-game concert by using this (all on one line):
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Music\\ZoneMusic\\DMF_L70ETC01.mp3")

That's not hair metal it's just plain Heavy Metal! :P Now if it was all Blood Elves maybe it would be hair metal..

I once pondered why an in-game band was made Horde instead over Alliance. But in short order, I came to the conclusion that the Horde is naturally more brutal/metal. Hence, more fitting for a band of this genre. I simply can't help but picture an alliance band being a lot like....the Backstreet Boys.
You know, very pretty, high-pitched voices, etc.

yeah and the fact that blizz love horde and hate alliance.
At least they ARE quite good - unlike the comedian that tours - who is entirely missable. Ive caught his act once - my tip - dont bother - go stare at paint drying - its a lot funnier

Went to BRD bar last night to see them. Supposed to play at 8p server time. Got there at 8:04 and at 8:05 they disappeared. So when did a concert last only 5 minutes?

Could someone please provide some accurate info and when they appear at World's End Tavern or in the BRD tavern? Is it every hour or every random hour?
