Could they have one weapon enchanted with runeforge enchant X, and the second weapon with runeforge enchant Y?
If so then the whole 2/2/2 isn't really a problem.

Fair question actually... I could see someone working out a strategy to circumvent that little limitation 1 of each rune on my two blades here, then 2 blood runes on this one, 2 frost runes on this one and one unholy on each of the second set then do a mix and match between the blades.
However, I think it might be that the runes are considered independant of the blade mechanically speaking, possible that that isn't the case but I think it's fairly likely that that's the way it will go.
On a different note, the main runes overwriting enchanting probably means that I will make my DK an inscriber since it seems that most of the core abilities are what I'll want modified and since inscription is alleged to offer you an extra ability slot...
