I don't think anyone could think this was full proof, but a much stronger defense. Its one thing to keylog my password and log in and leave me naked. Its another to have to call up support, sit on hold, answers questions you may not have been able to keylog all for maybe the $20 you will make off the few thousand gold you get from me and my stuff.....

I wonder... can these keylogs record more than just passwords? When you register the Authenticator, don't you have to register the CD key into an online account? Couldn't the key have also been recorded in the same manner as a password?

When you add the BA to your account, you log into your account at the Bliz website, then type in the serial number on the back of the authenticator. A keylogger could pick up that number, but it wouldn't do them any good, since knowing the SN doesn't let you figure out the response codes the BA generates.
