Breakfast Topic: Planning for the beta

It can't be too long now -- people are getting let in the Wrath beta from BlizzCon last year, and everyone's opt-in registrations are in, so it's only a matter of time before the invites go out and the floodgates open. And when they do: what's your plan?Are you going to step right into a Death Knight first to see how the new Hero class works? Which of the classes has got you most interested in trying new things? I'm excited to see all the Shaman changes, and I've got a Shammy waiting at 70, so that's probably what I'll do first. As for the Death Knight, I kind of want to see that stuff on the live realms, though by the time the beta ends, the call of a new class may be too much for me to ignore.
What's up first for you when you log into the beta realms?

"It's only a matter of time". Does this mean we're all getting in, at some stage? I kind of assumed it would only be a few, like BC. Awesome if that's the case.

I'd say its purely speculation. I know theres an opt in this year but not everyone got in Burning Crusade beta. Beta's generally are limited on numbers.

If i get in i will level my raiding Pally first. It has been a healbot since the launch of WOW in europe, account created feb 2005. After that i will look at a Frost DK. I imagine that most people will level in blood for PVE or unholy for PVP. Therefore, my DK imput could be useful.
Anyway, fingers crossed.

Oh..i thought they had already sent out the emails and it was already started...
But anyway..I'm looking forward to checking out the new stuff for my rogue and seeing how easy it'll be too level my warrior so i can choose which to level first :)

Only invites to Alpha Testers, WoW Laptop buyers, Blizzcon 2007, and WWI folks have gone out. So the beta has started, but no opt in invites have gone out.

Ill make a DK first and see how I like them. Im thinking about making DK my new main in wotlk but want to try first. Will check out the new pet talents for my hunter, moonkin for my druid and maybe ele for my shammy to try out the new cool stiff.

Yeah, I had also been under the impression that the invites had been sent out and the testing begun. I guess special invites were sent out to the "WoW Elite" that run speciality websites or have been pillars of the WoW community in various ways, shape or form. I know Mania and Megatf got in. I just assumed it was luck of the draw but I guess it was because they rock at things huntery. Grats guys. :D

Definitely hitting northrend on my main; a druid.. and checking out berserk and infected wounds... feral ftw.
prob just run around checking out the zones and getting chased my 75+ mobs... then of course checking out death knight starting area.. .saw that movie..... and Instructor Rasuvius was walking around with a QUEST... whoa!! hehe
talk to everyone... check it out.. do a few quest there... see if i like the class.. then WHO knows from there!! :)

Level my druid first, specc him feral, then see what·s the fastest way up to level 80, then prepare for server first to 80 =o

step 1- play Shaman in Northrend
step 2- play Death Knight
step 3- Play Hunter in the other starting place in Northrend
step 4- Play Paladin in my favorite starting place in northrend.
although step 3 and 4 are most likely bonus stuff.

Probably would take a look around both starting areas to decide on which one I'd pick in retail, then play the other one for a bit.
