Exotic Pets is to Pet Families as Death Knights is to Playable Classes. They're not particularly an uber class, just something different and special.

My immediate concern with the so-called "exotic pets" is what happens when the Hunter doesn't have the talent anymore. It seems unlikely blizzard would "delete" your trained/talented pet, but at the same time, it hardly seems fair that any Hunter could simply spec 51 points BM, train their pet of choice, then respec. And now that I think about it, what about those 5 points? I wonder if respeccing will also untrain the pet?Hmm...

@ puddsYour pet may just disappear like the Felguard does when you untrain from Demonologist spec. However this may cause problems as to stabling and how many pets one can have in your stable and active if you re-spec to Beast Master. Would your exotic pet respawn if you re-spec'd? What if you had another pet active at that time?I believe the simple (but brutal) solution would be for you to lose your exotic pet if you untrain Beast Master and you would have to train another one if you re-spec'd back into the talent.

If we are spending talent points on them, they should be powerful.
