The sights of Stormwind Harbor
What was I talking about? Oh right, I have here a beautiful gallery of screenshots of Stormwind Harbor, its boats, and a lighthouse that seems to be on the way out of the city. The Harbor will offer non-stop trips to the Borean Tundra in Northrend, as well as to Auberdine (the current boat in Menethil is being re-routed, and Menethil will now connect only to Theramore). This should make it much less painful for low-level Alliance characters to travel between the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor – "no more Wetlands Deathflop," as one Blizzard CM put it.
I really like the look of the the boats, too, with the big paddle wheel and the gryphon prow. It's always nice to see a little more steampunk in my WoW. Come on in and check out the beautiful scenery, and thanks to Kevin from WoW Macros for providing all these lovely screenshots.

Horde gets nothing though :/
Plug Jul 25th 2008 4:07PM
Well they do raze ogrimmar. So that's something.
Eliminate Jul 25th 2008 4:12PM
Blood Elves weren't enough for horde in TBC? :)
jtrain Jul 25th 2008 4:22PM
@plug
What is this "razing" you speak of?

Since this is a recent topic and someone might actually see this..
The Horde have zep' ports close enough to both Orgrimmar and the Undercity that they don't need a new one. The alliance have no cross-map transport close to any major cities (only the Exodar and Darnassus but.. Come on..). That, I believe, is what this fixes.

Well.. Horde now have a second entrance to Stormwind for raids.
Avashnea Oct 14th 2008 6:53PM
When are they going to connect TB with ANYWHERE else? There needs to be a zepp there.

Stormwind has hunter trainers?
Ultima Jul 25th 2008 4:11PM
Yep, Dwarven District, near the tram entrance.
kunukia Jul 25th 2008 4:12PM
Yes, in the Dwarven district.
Zep Jul 25th 2008 4:06PM
Darnassus is where the people with bad computers go to queue up for arenas.
And the druids with good computers.
DruidGuard Sep 14th 2008 2:16PM
Yep, Dwarven District, near the tram entrance.
DruidGuard Jul 25th 2008 4:12PM
Yep, Dwarven District, next to the tram.
Buckshot Jul 25th 2008 4:14PM
I usually work out of Ironforge, Stormwind is too big and spread out.
Valhalla Jul 25th 2008 4:20PM
As an aside, is Stormwind going to be the Alliance jumping-off point for all expansions? It's already the most convenient capital to the Dark Portal, as well as (I think) the only city with trainers for all classes.
I'm sure Stormwind being close to the Blast Lands is just a geographical coincidence
And I believe that Stormwind doesn't have any Druid trainers. Only Darnassus has them.
Kristen Jul 25th 2008 4:47PM
There is a druid trainer. They're in the park.
jtrain Jul 25th 2008 4:23PM
The Park.
Andrew Jul 25th 2008 4:24PM
Nope. The park has them, if I recall rightly.
Kar On E Jul 25th 2008 4:25PM
Stormwind has druid trainers...just check out by the Park.
JLBorghead Jul 25th 2008 4:43PM
There's a druid trainer in the Stormwind park.
It may be coincidental, but don't forget that if there's an Emerald Dream focused expansion, the portal nearest to an Alliance capital is the one in Darkshire. Only one zone away from Stormwind!
